General Tech Interview Process

Step 1

Initial phone screen with a Recruiter

Duration: 30 minutes

Interview partner: Recruiter

Each hiring process is unique and depends on the stakeholders involved and seniority level. However, here are some general tips on how to best prepare for the interview process: 

  • Why do you want to join us? What is your motivation?

  • What value (past projects) do you bring to Ultimate, and especially to the role you applied for?

  • How do your personal values align with your company values? 

  • Research Ultimate in advance - do you have any questions?

Step 2

Take-home Tech task

1-week deadline. However, we understand that life happens. If you need more time, let us know!

Interview with a Hiring Manager

Duration: 30 - 45 minutes

Interview partner: one Hiring Manager


Step 3

Technical Interview

Duration: 60 minutes

Interview partner: 2 peers

In this interview, we will discuss your task solution and deep dive into your technical competence.

Peer Interview

Duration: 30 minutes

Interview partner: one of your future teammates


Step 4

Team-fit Interview

Duration: 60min

Interview partner: CTO and Engineering Manager

 

Case Study with final presentation or Final Interview with stakeholder

Duration: 60 minutes

Interview partner: stakeholders of other departments/ management
