• The purpose of the budget is to provide an opportunity for you to build your skills and try new things. We want to encourage all types of learning and holistic development. It can be used throughout the year, in one go or in many chunks, up to a total value of €1 000 per calendar year. 

• PPD can be used for classes (language classes, workshops, online courses), learning a new sports (yoga, surfing, archery), activities learning a new skill (pottery, singing) or books/podcasts. Hardware, materials and regular gym memberships do not qualify.

• Although you can use the full amount at any time, the PPD budget is accrued on a monthly basis. That means:

  • In the event that you leave the company before the end of your last year you may need to return some of what you were paid if it exceeds the amount you have accrued over your last year so far.

  • For anyone joining the company mid-calendar year, your available PPD budget for your first calendar year will be calculated on a pro rata basis. For example, if you join the company on 01 August 2020, you have €416 to spend in 2020 (€1 000 / 12 months x the 5 months left in 2020) and then on 01 January 2021 you'll have the full €1 000 to spend in 2021. 

• If you still have budget left, but your next request exceeds the threshold of €1 000, we will pay reimburse you for the amount you have left in your budget. For example, you have 300EUR left in your PPD, but your next request is 400EUR, we will cover 300EUR and the rest will be covered by you.
